Maximilian Montessori Academy is dedicated to providing an outstanding education to children from pre-school through high school age. MMA uses the philosophy and techniques of the Montessori approach, including religious education through the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in an atmosphere faithful to the Magesterium of the Catholic Church.
MMA's goal is to enable each child to develop as a well- rounded human being: spiritually, intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally. Maximilian Montessori Academy (MMA) is a private school, founded in 1988, which serves Owensboro and the surrounding area. We educate children from preschool through the completion of the high school years.

Report
Mrs. Kemper is a native of Owensboro, Ky. and graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School in 1997. Following her graduation, she was hired at the Triplett School as an instructional assistant while completing her college education from Portland State University. Mrs. Kemper is a Certified Montessori Educator at the 3-6, 6-9 and 9-12 grade levels.

Our student body is comprised of children of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds. The Montessori method is not just for gifted children or special needs children; it is for every child! Before you can be considered for enrollment, you must visit the school to see clearly what we have to offer and to let us observe your child in our environment.
Faith Formation

MMA is proud to offer the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. We celebrate Holy Mass each week in our chapel and we hold adoration weekly. All students are welcome to participate in our religious formation program; however, this is not a requirement. Our students come from varying faith backgrounds, and we respect this, which is the reason for making our religion program optional for families.
