In 1990, Ocean Experience became San Diego's first surf school. With the Pacific Ocean as the classroom, you'll experience our proven learn-to-surf method with the best ocean rescue certified instructors and the surf equipment Southern California has to offer. We offer daily group and private surf lessons that will teach you the basics and get you up and riding waves whether you're an OB native or just visiting for the day!

Ocean Experience Camps teach kids to surf and skate safely and properly in a fun outdoor environment. We offer full day and half day, week long camps. Our instructors are ocean safety, water rescue, First Aid, and CPR certified. We have fun outdoor activities every day and strive to instill confidence in kids while learning new sports, improving skills, connecting with other kids and for some overcoming fears.
Peninsula Surf Club

Peninsula Surf Club consists of all skill levels from absolute beginners to advanced competition surfers, and our instructors are trained to provide guidance and instruction to help people of all skill levels develop their individual surfing journey. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe and nurturing environment for all students, to provide an outdoor activity after school to keep our kids engaged in healthy choices outside of school.
Peninsula Skate Club

Peninsula Skate Club is a program built to provide an after-school activity for students meant to bolster self-confidence and creativity as well as taking their expertise to the next level. The skate club is two hours in length up to twice a week, focused on providing instruction and fundamentals while also teaching our students the rich history of skateboarding to rear a new generation of elite skate athletes.

Ocean Beach Surf & Skate now offers an instructional skateboarding program that provides lessons, camps and clinics to skateboarders of all skill levels, ages 4 to 14. Our comprehensive instruction includes fundamental skill development taught in a progressive sequence that helps beginners learn to skate and intermediate skaters learn to rip.
