We are a full service custom picture framing shop using only conservation methods to preserve your treasures for generations. Our dedication to creative framing designs as well as our attention to detail are what sets us apart. Conservation Framing
Report
We use only acid-free foam board and museum quality mat board to protect your work. Conservation glass is always recommended which blocks up to 98% of damaging U.V. rays. Depending on your piece, appropriate adhesives and/or mounting techniques are used to get the most life out of your art. Our mats come in a variety of materials and colors, so there is no shortage of options to add both expression and protection to your art collection.
Drymounting
Report
The process will provide a firm, uniform surface for your art and smooth out the art. It also reduces the effects of cockling. Dry mounting is ideal for aesthetic purposes, but any art that is fragile or should not be heated will not be given this treatment. With dry mounting, you transfer art to unique surfaces and add some aesthetically-based benefits.
Laminating
Report
Preservation comes in many forms, and laminating is a process that has transcended the art world and been favored by many. Like dry mounting, it is also a heat set process. Lamination gets used after an item has been dry mounted to add a film of protection so no glass is needed. Lamination is an ideal preservation method for art that cannot handle heat or the transfer process, so it is not advised for more fragile art pieces.
