Accreditation

Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority is accredited by The Joint Commission. As a Joint Commission accredited organization, Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority is required to meet standards related to the quality and safety of client care. LCMHA Consumer Action Committee

Membership in the CAC, a voluntary LCMHA Board appointed position, is a leadership role that includes representatives of persons from all areas of service provided by LCMHA.
Membership includes attending monthly/bi-monthly meetings, taking a leadership role in improving the System of Care for persons served by LCMHA, offering feedback to the LCMHA Board and staff regarding behavioral health issues in our community, as well as other leadership roles as they become available.

Grievance and Appeal

As a recipient of mental health services through LCMHA, you have the right to appeal or grieve any decision to deny, suspend, reduce, or terminate services. There are different avenues available to you for seeking resolution of problems or differences that may arise. As a consumer of LCMHA Services, you are guaranteed certain rights as written in the Michigan Mental Health Code. You must give informed consent for your services. You are entitled to be treated with dignity and respect, freedom from abuse and neglect, as well as privacy regarding your services. More information about your rights is contained in the pamphlet titled YOUR RIGHTS.
