Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Friday Harbor, WA
Founded in 1983, Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center has dedicated over four decades to rescuing and rehabilitating injured, orphaned, and sick native wildlife. Our mission focuses on three pillars: hands-on animal care, community education, and non-invasive research to improve post-release survival rates. With specialized facilities including an eagle flight enclosure and songbird aviary, we serve the unique ecosystems of San Juan County, Island County, and Fidalgo.

Our team combines veterinary expertise with ecological knowledge to treat over 220 species while promoting coexistence between humans and wildlife through outreach programs. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rely on donations and volunteers to maintain our critical conservation work.

Services
Wildlife Rehabilitation
Our expert team provides medical treatment and recovery care for injured, orphaned, and sick native wildlife. Specialized facilities include flight enclosures and mammal habitats. We prepare animals for successful reintegration into natural ecosystems through gradual conditioning programs.
Educational Outreach
Mobile education initiatives deliver science-based learning to schools and community centers across island regions. Programs focus on coexistence strategies, habitat conservation, and wildlife biology through interactive presentations and educational materials.
Non-Invasive Research
Research projects analyze rehabilitation effectiveness and post-release survival factors without disturbing wildlife. Findings directly improve care protocols and contribute to broader conservation science knowledge about regional species.
Animal Transport
Trained volunteers coordinate safe transportation of injured animals from remote locations to our facilities. The program ensures timely care for wildlife across our service area's dispersed island communities.
Habitat Maintenance
Specialized habitats like our eagle flight enclosure and raccoon weaning areas receive regular maintenance to ensure optimal recovery conditions. Grounds upkeep supports both animal welfare and facility longevity in island climate conditions.
