My name is Moira Smith, and I graduated from Hope College in Holland, MI with a B. S. in Math. I then went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Teaching from Colorado College. I have over 30 years of tutoring experience, 3 years of classroom teaching experience, and 2 years of online teaching experience.
I am patient and encouraging and am adept at explaining concepts from many different angles until the student understands it. I recognize the need that some families have for someone else to come alongside and provide some extra support. Perhaps the most important quality of an outstanding teacher and tutor is his or her ability to be an encourager.
