The Point of Pines Yacht Club is a community-based, family-oriented club for pleasure boaters in Revere, Massachusetts. Started by local residents and located on Broad Sound at the mouth of the Saugus River, we've been a fixture in our Point of Pines neighborhood for 100 years. We are committed to the environment and have been recognized as leaders in the fight against beach erosion.

We are located approximately ten miles north of Boston at 28 Rice Avenue, Revere, MA. 02151. From Route 1A North in Revere, MA, take the exit for Point of Pines, Revere (just before the General Edwards Bridge). We are located on Broad Sound at the mouth of the Saugus River on the seaward side of the General Edwards Bridge (Route 1A).

The Point of Pines Yacht Club encourages and promotes yachting, friendly relations, and the mutual welfare of the residents of the Point of Pines. Associate members are newer, junior boating members. As spots open in the Full boating membership list, we draw from the Associate list based upon seniority and in accordance with our constitution.
Mary Alice Downey Memorial Scholarship
Report
Presented annually to benefit the further education of an individual whose strong character and high family values emulate those of Mary Alice. This scholarship has been established to recognize Mary Alice Downey, mother of Eileen Horgan, and long-time supporter of the yacht club. Mary Alice's family was involved with the founding of the club in 1914.

George graduated from Salem's St. Joseph's High School in 1948. He was a sales clerk in Salem's Empire Clothing store before and after serving in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1950 as a Corporal performing military administration duties. He had a long career selling life insurance for John Hancock from which he retired.
