I have over 30 years of experience teaching drivers education at Alta, Jordan, and Cottonwood High Schools and I'm now starting my 10th year as a private teacher and love it! Fast tracking is available for $50 and enables you to complete your driving in 14 days (from first drive). Most students who do not enroll in the fast track finish this course in about one month.

Dave's Driving School offers road driving with personal instruction for $300 and it's well worth it. Just ask anyone that has driven with me. While driving you, I discuss vital information for safety and defensive driving skills to ensure your success on the road. Besides the 6 hours I drive with you, you will need 34 hours of driving with your parents or legal guardian.

This can be done at the DLD after the age of 15 and is only good for one year but can be renewed. Therefore, I recommend waiting a few days after their 15th birthday to get it so that they may get their license on their 16th birthday without having to renew it. You must have it for 6 months before getting a driver's license.

Believe me - I know what it takes to pass the road test. Please watch my 8-minute video for details and before you take the road test. The road test will last approximately 20 minutes. Testing hours are flexible and include Saturdays. I will not recommend that you get tested if I believe you are not ready to pass the road test.

The minimum age to get a learner's permit and to enroll in any driver education course is 15 years of age. You must have a learner's permit for at least 6 months prior to receiving your license. If you are 19 years or older, driver's education is not required. However, you will need to hold a learner's permit for at least 3 months or take a driver's education course (Homestudy) and complete 6 hours of driving with a certified instructor.
