A passion for helping others led me down the path of Medicine into a career that allows me to provide a unique, 1:1 hands-on approach. As a professional Physical Therapist since 2001, I bring a wholistic approach to medicine in order to find atypical yet effective solutions for everyone. My goal is to offer the best physical therapy to get your pain under control as quickly and efficiently as possible.
While I love treating all body parts, I specialize in SIJ dysfunction and hip pain (hip impingement). I began experiencing lower back pain almost three years ago. Being young and active, I ignored it at first. Eventually, the pain worsened to the point of not being able to even put on my shoes without excruciating pain.

Why I Am Different
Report
My primary practice setting has been outpatient orthopedics where emphasis is upon manual intervention. Hands-on skills have been priority not only in practice, but also with choices in continuing education that involve joint mobilization (including thrust), myofascial release, and integrated movement.
Testimonials
Report
Cathy was AMAZING! I went in to see her regarding a lower back injury due to a disc Herniation from weightlifting. After my injury every workout caused me pain if I did the wrong movement. Cathy actually found out that my pain was coming from having an uneven pelvis, which she fixed! I am so thankful to God that I found Cathy!
Manual Therapy
Report
Hands-on skills is paramount for an adept physical therapist. I put every effort into maximizing these skills because it makes/breaks what kind of therapist you can be! It should be expected that your physical therapist applies hands-on interventions versus simply pointing which exercise to go to next.
Cupping Therapy
Report
Cupping therapy is great for a more efficient myofascial/connective tissue release and to promote improved blood flow (where it was previously lacking). Think of connective tissue as thick cobwebs interlaced between skin & muscle or muscle to muscle and imagine if you did a close-up on muscle that there are small fibers parallel to each other that glide back and forth when you move.
IASTM Graston
Report
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM aka Graston) is the breaking up of myofascial tension/muscle fibers and promoting new blood flow to the area. This is done more by a "scraping" motion using an instrument with varying edges to achieve improved myofascial mobility. It can be combined with motion or while maintaining a stretch.
