Mississippi Wildlife Conservation & Outdoor Education Programs
Established in 2003, our foundation serves as the sole organization directly supporting Mississippi's Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks and Department of Marine Resources. We focus on preserving the state's natural heritage through conservation initiatives, educational programs, and outdoor recreation opportunities. Our efforts span from the Delta's fertile soil to the Gulf Coast, addressing wildlife protection, habitat restoration, and youth engagement. With over two decades of experience, we've facilitated over 28,000 youth hunting/fishing licenses and awarded conservation scholarships.

Our team combines expertise in wildlife management, philanthropy, and outdoor education to maximize federal funding returns through programs like the Pittman Robertson Act. We maintain transparent financial practices, with 90% of expenditures directed toward mission-critical activities, and undergo annual independent audits to ensure accountability.

Youth License Program
We purchase $5 hunting/fishing licenses for Mississippi youth completing Hunter Education courses. This initiative creates future conservationists while generating over $62 federal matching funds per license through the Pittman Robertson Act. Our program has facilitated 28,000+ licenses since inception.
Black Bear Program
Supporting MDWFP's endangered black bear conservation efforts through tracking collars and habitat research. Our funding helped triple Mississippi's bear population since 2002 while promoting human-bear conflict prevention. The program focuses on both American and Louisiana black bear subspecies.
Scholarship Program
We award four $3,000 annual scholarships for conservation-related studies. This program develops future environmental stewards while supporting academic pursuits in wildlife management, marine biology, and outdoor recreation leadership across Mississippi institutions.
McIvor Shooting Facility
Our 300-acre shooting sports complex near Sardis offers archery, rifle, and shotgun training. This state-of-the-art facility promotes safe firearms education while providing public access to improve hunting proficiency and competitive shooting skills.
Fishing Rodeos
We organize educational fishing events introducing children to angling and aquatic conservation. These programs combine hands-on fishing experiences with environmental education, using stocked ponds and expert-led instruction from MDWFP fisheries biologists.
