The National Basketball Retired Players Association serves former professional basketball players, supporting them in life after their playing days, and helping them to leverage their inspirational influence to promote and teach basketball in their communities. The NBRPA today launched the "Legends Locker Room" app, its most innovating initiative in providing an exclusive private community for all NBRPA members to communicate and interact.

The National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA) today announced the launch of the Legends HBCU Scholarship - a scholarship fund and scholars program for undergraduate students attending HBCUs across the country. Founded in 1992 by NBA Legends Dave DeBusschere, Dave Bing, Archie Clark, Dave Cowens and Oscar Robertson, the National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA) is a non-profit association comprised of former professional basketball players of the NBA, ABA, WNBA, and Harlem Globetrotters. We are the only alumni association of its kind supported directly by the NBA and National Basketball Players Association (NBPA).

A San Jose State University graduate, Darnell played center in the American Basketball Association (ABA) with the Virginia Squires. He also attended San Jose State University. Rick has taken tremendous strides in helping polish and grow the Los Angeles branch. His playing days may be over, but he works with former players to keep the game he enjoys so much close to him.

Some of the latest additions to our growing membership include Drew Gooden, Shawn Marion, Corey Maggette and Kenyon Martin. The potential to receive royalties for the use of name and likeness (In accordance with the NBA's Licensing Program).
