Here at A New Direction Counseling, William C. Edleman MSW, LCSW specializes in counseling individuals dealing with feelings of worry, anxiety and panic disorders. Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a long standing treatment for a relatively rapid change in your lifestyle. I use CBT as a main counseling technique for mood swings, anxiety disorders, and depression.
Over the last several years, an increasing amount of studies from renowned university of UCLA, Mayo Clinic and others, indicate that mindful meditation for stress reduction has been extremely effective. Therefore, I teach mindful meditation and use it in my practice as an adjunct with CBT. The intent is to stay focused on the cutting edge tools that can help individuals both long and short term.
