Since 1956, we have provided free legal help for more than 1 million low-income individuals/families with civil issues impacting housing, family law, public benefits, consumer fraud, healthcare, children's well-being, special education and relief from domestic violence.

We provide free civil legal assistance, advice and information for low-income people and the elderly in 21 eastern Missouri counties. Clients must meet financial eligibility based on household incomes or meet other qualifications for consultation or representation. Information and training services are free and open to the public.

If you live in any other county, please visit www.lsmo.org to find your local legal aid office. Not every legal issue will need an attorney for representation.
