Eye Care Services
Report
Most of us rely on our vision every day, and so it can be easy to take the health of the eyes for granted. Even those who do require some form of ongoing vision correction, like eyeglasses or contact lenses, only tend to come to an eye doctor when they realize that their prescription needs to be updated.
Eye Exams
Report
No matter what your individual vision concerns may be, proper treatment should always begin with a thorough diagnosis. However, not all vision problems are equal. Some can be identified with only a few simple tests, while others may require much more sophisticated diagnostic techniques. The type of eye exam you will be given is determined both by the reason for your visit or your chief complaint, as well as by your specific diagnosis.
New Patient Office Consultations
Report
Unlike office visits, which should be routine for check-ups and to order new eyeglasses or contact lenses, office consultations are conducted only when new patients have their first visit to Georgia Eye Physicians and Surgeons, or when established patients have a transfer of care. Some common health conditions, like shingles, diabetes, or even arthritis, can potentially have an effect on your vision.
Routine Vision Examinations
Report
A Routine Vision Exam involves basic eye tests that are no doubt familiar to those who use prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses for the correction of common refractive errors, like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. It is performed to determine the degree to which the length of the eye or distortions in the shape of the cornea and/or other areas of the eye are impairing the vision.
