Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center began in 2006 with two students and a whole lot of faith. Bonnie Rachael opened the center in her backyard in Guyton, Georgia, after finding an article about a similar program in a flyer at church. Knowing this was something God called her to, she began the process of obtaining her certification through PATH International.

We also take riders to the Special Olympics Georgia event in Gainesville every year. We offer summer camps and camps for individuals with special needs, which helps us to support our school-year programs. Our therapeutic riding program operates in the evenings and on Saturday mornings. This program focuses on achieving goals that are specific to each rider, helping to develop social skills, confidence and riding skills.

The total actual cost for us to provide each rider with one class is $68. We charge $50 per lesson and supplement this with outside fundraising. Please research the below resources to see if any of these organizations can assist you with payment for your child's lessons. If WellCare is your child's insurance provider, call the number on the back of the card and you may be eligible for up to 10 lessons.

Volunteers are vital to our program and we could not operate without our fabulous team! There are a wide range of opportunities to volunteer, whether you prefer being with the horses, the children, in the office or even helping us to bring in much needed funds. Volunteering can provide a great opportunity for you to learn new skills, meet new people and perhaps get a little bit of exercise, all while giving back to your community.

It costs us $200 to provide 4 lessons to a single participant. Please consider sponsoring a child for a month, which will allow us to provide our service to even more children in our community. It costs us $50 to provide a lesson to a single participant. Please consider sponsoring a lesson, half a session, or a full session, which will allow us to provide our service to even more children in our community.
