Ever since I was little, I remember my mom setting me up on the counter, next to our faithful Kitchen Aid, and whipping up delicious treats together! Years later, when it came to the daunting question - "what do you want to do with your life?" - the idea of baking and opening up a shop was one I never could shake.
After traveling to London, Paris, and New York City to learn from the best, I decided my hometown of Cleveland needed a bakery that could compare! A "sweets boutique" that had treats just as beautiful as those from Paris, but tasted like my mom and I used to make growing up. In the summer of 2014, Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes was born, and I signed my first commercial lease at 24 years old, never looking back!

Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes is a boutique bakery, serving up the prettiest sweets in Cleveland since 2014. Kelsey's mom, Liz, taught Kelsey young, that creativity can go a long way, that everything can be beautifully made, and most importantly, that it is okay to eat cake for breakfast. When Kelsey was just 24 she decided to take these principals into her career and with the help of Liz and her dad, Joe, they began to build the Avon Lake location.

Each theme day, we base our entire case on a specific theme, and go all out with flavors, designs, and specialty sweets! Some of our favorite theme days include: Fun in the Sun Day, Circus Day, and Mystical Day! Each year our theme days change. Lines for theme days definitely start early, but usually get going around 9am.

Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes books occasion cakes anywhere from 2-6 weeks in advance, depending on the time of year. We recommend ordering your cake as soon as you know the details! Once a weekend is fully booked we are not able to take any more cakes. Large orders should be booked at least 1-2 months in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you'd like to taste specific flavors or combinations, you can order a tasting box at either of our shops and take it home to try whenever is convenient for you and your fiance. Simply call or email the shop to order your tasting box, and pick out 3 flavors, and 3 fillings from the list below. Want to try more than 3 flavors or fillings?

Our classic cupcakes topped with a variety of designs, including crystals, roses, swirls, and sprinkles. Perfect for a gender reveal party, and can be filled with either pink or blue buttercream for a hidden gender announcement! A sweet dozen which includes buttercream tutus, crystals, and roses, or can be ordered with all tutus.
