Linda McCracken opened McCracken's Gymnastics in Olathe, Kansas in 1977. It took only days to realize the new Gymnastics Club housed in a strip mall would soon outgrow Olathe's interest, support, and demand. Our new facility was built. Whoever said "Build it and they will come" was right! A seasonal Swim School (located behind the gymnastics facility) was added in the summer of 1981.
The idea of providing swim lessons to Olathe children while they were attending Daycare facilities was launched. Today, we serve more than a dozen Daycare Centers in Johnson County, Kansas, and together with the ever growing number of public swimmers, both contribute to the success of this popular addition and activity.

Gymnastics is an exciting and rewarding sport that can help to prepare a child for many of life's challenges. The great thing about organized club gymnastics is that you can expect it to provide progressively greater benefits the more your child develops and embraces the sport. Artistic Gymnastics which you will recognize by the traditional events apparatus long used in the Olympic games.

A facility with modern equipment, dedicated and expert staff, and gymnasts who go the "extra mile" to stay at the top of their sport are the reason we can claim over 1,500 Kansas State Champions in the course of 40 years. Besides State, we qualify many of our gymnasts to attend Region lll Championships and beyond on a regular basis with many successes.

We have been offering swim lessons to children 3 and older since 1980. It is our goal each summer to expose as many children as possible to the fundamentals of swimming. Swimming is the #1 favorite outdoor summer activity and pastime for families. So it is important to us that all children who enroll in our Swim School have the opportunity to explore the water in a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment.

For thirty years, our facilities have been busy six days a week, nearly every week of the year. These are the activities which will provide lifelong benefits to our communities kids.
