Questions
How do I know if I need a hearing aid?
Difficulty following conversations, frequently asking for repetition, or needing to increase TV volume may indicate hearing loss. A professional evaluation confirms if hearing aids would benefit you.
Are hearing aids covered by insurance?
Coverage varies by plan. Some private insurers include hearing benefits while traditional Medicare does not. Our team can verify your specific coverage details.
What's the difference between hearing aids and PSAPs?
Hearing aids are FDA-regulated medical devices programmed for individual hearing loss. PSAPs are basic amplifiers for temporary use in specific situations by people with normal hearing.
Can hearing aids help with tinnitus?
Yes, many devices include sound therapy features that reduce tinnitus perception. Amplification also helps by making environmental sounds more audible against the ringing.
Do you offer custom hearing protection?
We provide custom-molded ear protection for musicians, hunters, industrial workers, and sleepers. These options offer superior comfort and noise reduction compared to generic alternatives.
What causes sensorineural hearing loss?
Common causes include aging, noise exposure, genetics, certain medications, and head trauma. This permanent hearing loss results from inner ear hair cell or nerve damage.
