Established in 1997, The Music Box has provided thousands of former and current student musicians with an opportunity to reach their goals. With excellent, college-educated teachers, and a warm, comfortable environment, students can expand their musical horizons. Located in rural Poughquag, New York, The Music Box offers excellent music instruction for people throughout Dutchess County, Putnam County, and even Connecticut.
We provide individual instruction on almost all instruments for all ages, abilities, and styles. The Music Box also includes a store with lesson books, accessories, print music, etc. Our students can perform in our yearly recital and participate in other community opportunities.

The Music Box was established in January of 1997. Located in rural Poughquag, New York, The Music Box offers excellent music instruction for people throughout Dutchess County, Putnam County, and even Connecticut. Being a family run business, we have been able to keep our small-town nature and personalized service.
Lessons

A music school provides an environment where students study with professionally trained instructors. Often there is more than one instructor for each instrument, so students and parents can choose a teacher that best fits their child's personality and learning style. Students will often 'move-up' to the next teacher or increase lesson time, especially if they are on a path towards making a career in music.
