Early Childhood Program
Our Early Childhood Program fosters foundational learning through imaginative play, artistic expression, and seasonal rhythms. Children aged 12 months to 8 years develop motor skills, social abilities, and creativity in a nurturing environment. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on activities, storytelling, and nature-based learning to prepare children for future academic success.
Lower School Curriculum
The Lower School curriculum integrates academics with artistic expression for grades 1-8. We love this school! My daughter joined the High School as a Sophmore and is now a Senior. She was warmly embraced by the students, faculty, and staff. She has been supported by a mentor who checks in with her weekly and the small class size means she gets plenty of individual attention. We have found the curriculum robust and challenging. Waldorf is a special place where the students are treated as individuals and the goal is to instill a love of life long learning. Our decision to send our daughter to this school is re-confirmed with every student showcase and play we attend- the students are

My Daughter has been at WSSD for seven years. The teachers and staff at the school are amazing! They are supportive and loving all while setting strong expectations for academic performance and social collaboration. I love the confidence my daughter demonstrates while navigating the world and I owe a large part of this to WSSD. As a parent I am grateful for the guidance and support the Waldorf community has provided me to parent more consciously.

I have a second grader and kindergartner at Waldorf, and we are here until college.It's been such a fantastic experience.I was a skeptic coming from a technical background, but I now realize education can be so much more; it's not just what you learn, but how you learn it that can lead to superior results. My little ones have been attending this school for 2 years now and we couldn't be happier! I first found out about Waldorf when the thought of having kids wasn't even a thought but from what I had heard i knew if that day ever came that this is exactly where I wanted my children to be. The campus is located in an apartment building set up which is very different but it works! The neighborhood itself isn't the greatest but once you are in the school is magical.
