Strong collaboration with Verona Area School District and the Verona community since 1972. In many child care centers, school-age children are an afterthought. At The Caring Center, we devote an entire building to C.C.'s Clubhouse, a premier after school program and summer camp. Children from kindergarten through age 12 have their own cozy "clubhouse".
C.C.'s Clubhouse is a place to explore art, develop friendships, express themselves at the Lego table, practice cooking skills, or get active in the gym or outdoor-shaded playground. C.C's Clubhouse features foosball, Wii sports, a computer lab, community-service projects, and a parent favorite - homework club!

The Caring Center was founded by Thelma Peters, a third-grade teacher from Verona; and Diane Peters, then a senior education major at the University of Wisconsin. In 1982, Diane Peters took over as director of Happy Day Nursery. The next year, the need became apparent for a full-time child care center and a facility that could accommodate this growth.

Jenny co-teaches in our 2-3 year old classroom and brings with her an array of teaching experiences including time spent working with kindergartners in Guatemala She has worked with children from the preschool level all the way through high schoolers.Most recently prior to coming here, she worked with special needs students.
