The Red Wing Collectors Society (501c7) holds the prestige of being in existence longer than most collecting organization and in having the largest membership. That alone makes the Society unique but it gets even better. This organization is devoted to keeping the Red Wing legacy alive. We thrive on continually learning about the pottery products made in Red Wing Minnesota and on making that information available to others.
The Society also prides itself on being member-centered in all of the decision-making and policy setting. Part of being member-centered is the unique approach to families through the KidsView Seminars at the July Convention. As you think about it, if you have kids or not, what better place is there to take a summer vacation than the Red Wing area.

Lamps
Report
At the end of the 1996 convention Al commented that he would like to do a display on Red Wing lamps at the '97 convention but, we had only 60 - 70 lamps. He felt that wouldn't make an eye catching display. He said that he wanted 100 lamps by January l, 1997 for his display. On his birthday, which is New Years day, I presented him with his 100th lamp.
Dinnerware
Report
Red Wing's dinnerware production is believed to have begun in the early 1930s with the Wreath and recently discovered Pansy patterns. No printed documentation has been found for either of these patterns. Full scale dinnerware production started with the Gypsy Trail line in 1935 and ended with Ceramastone when the pottery closed in 1967.
