Since 1987, Austin Guitar School has been the city's premiere spot for learning guitar. Founded by Music Director & owner Ted Hall, through the years AGS has added electric bass guitar, banjo, dobro, lap steel, uke, piano, keyboards, violin, dulcimer, voice, drums & percussion in all of styles, levels and techniques.
AGS specializes in private music lessons, group classes & performance for students of all ages. Paul Teaches classic rock, hard rock, metal, alternative, blues, folk, country, fingerstyle and classical. Teaches levels beginner to advanced. Ian Phillips

Ian Phillips started drumming at age 5. The son of a drummer and took his first lesson at age 7. Ian grew up in the Boston area and was fortunate enough to study with some of the finest educators in the world along with professors from Berkelee College of Music. Ian has been teaching for 30 years and became a certified facilitator in building Cognitive Skills.
Private Lessons

Lessons can be taken instore or online Lessons packs can be shared between family members! We recommend students take one 30 minute lesson a week. Family's can buy any 8, 12, or 24 lesson pack & split the pack between family members. Lessons can also scheduled for the whole family on the same day & time with different instructors online or in person at the school.
