Your Trusted Family-Owned Grocery Store in Caribou, ME
Founded in 1914, Sleeper's Market has been a cornerstone of the Caribou, Maine community for over a century. Our story began with Joseph Sleeper Sr., who immigrated from Lebanon with a vision to create a trusted local grocery store. We specialize in curating premium Maine-made products, offering bulk meat specials that have been a regional tradition since the 1950s, and providing convenient online shopping with free shipping options. Our store has evolved to include a diverse clothing department while maintaining the personal touch that made us successful. With decades of combined experience from our dedicated team members, many of whom have served our community for over 20 years, we continue to innovate while honoring our heritage. We offer contactless shopping options through text, email, and phone orders to ensure customer safety. Our deep understanding of Northern Maine's needs allows us to serve local residents, military personnel from nearby bases, and Canadian shoppers with equal care and attention.

This place has it all. First it's a well stocked grocery store with full meat dept. Then it's one of the best stocked winter gear outfitters in the area. Price's seemed fare. Nice selection of everything.

Replace two from night crew. That will tend to the customers not to there time clock. And plesent speaking all the way right out to the door would be greatly appreciated. From a known store. We did not feel not at all welcomed back to Sleepers Store. But have once and felt treated great with a couple other workers on night shift. Thank you Lady's.
Hopefully what we experienced, will change for the better and no one else has went throu a repeat of this. Plus more, we did not/never ask for any noise but words only a store worker will only need to say. I will continue to go to Sleepers Store cause
