The Rockfish Team

Matthew Balte or just "Balte" as he is known in camp circles, grew up in Carrollton, GA and attended camp in the north Georgia mountains throughout his childhood. Balte has always credited his spiritual, mental, and emotional growth to his time at camp and it is even where he first felt a call to leadership and Christian ministry.
Activities

We are more than just a summer camp! Many activities at Camp Rockfish are designed for fun, teamwork, and walking away with memories and insights that will last a lifetime. Specialty camp-wide games are also played at Rockfish, such as Reverse Capture the Flag, Monkey-Tail Ball, Mission Impossible, and the Great Amazing Race.

Do you enjoy the outdoors? We are happy to host our guests, but one thing we do need is our high trained quality staff. This position is part-time and needs-based. Do you want to work with school age children in an outdoors after school position? This position is part time and runs during the regular school year for hoke and Cumberland counties.

In the years since Rockfish Camp and Retreat Center has been established as a summer camp, many things have changed, however one has remained the same; Camp Rockfish is a place where the Lord is alive. From the moment you walk onto campus, you not only see the buildings, playgrounds, and high adventure area, but you also sense the genuine presence of God ready to encourage, comfort, and strengthen those who are receptive.
