The Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center (CTRC) is a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center in southeast Longmont, Colorado. Since 1980, CTRC has been devoted to serving children and adults with disabilities. As one of the oldest therapeutic riding centers in Colorado, and one of the largest in the nation, CTRC serves nearly 500 riders through our dynamic Equine Assisted Services and has an impressive work force of over 1,000 volunteers each year.

A native of Woodstock, Illinois, Michele's career has spanned nonprofits, and equine management sectors. She served for eight years in the recreational therapy department at a behavioral residential treatment center for at-risk youth outside Chicago, Illinois.
There, she created a partnership with a local therapeutic riding center, and served as the liaison and director of a campus-wide therapeutic riding program for the 150 residential treatment clients.Prior to that, Michele served as a barn manager and trail boss on a 2,000-acre ranch in the Ozarks of Missouri.

Susan Zimmerman is a lifelong resident of the Front Range and a graduate of Niwot High School. She was accepted at Colorado State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She has devoted herself to the Human Services field for 34 years working primarily with youth of all ages and individuals with disabilities.

Paint the Pony 2021

Paint the Pony is our Annual Campaign. As a FUNDRAISER and a FRIENDRAISER, Paint the Pony strives to raise much needed funds, recruit new volunteers and create a greater awareness about CTRC in our community. Each stripe we paint is a marker toward our $125,000 GOAL.
