Bear Legend
Report
Many Indian tribes made and used animal figures. Each figure was seen as possessing the unique powers of the animal it represented. If treated respectfully, it would bestow these living powers on the owner of the figure. The bear symbolizes tremendous power and strength. Since it hibernates every year, it is associated with change.
