Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Club is a premier private golf club, open for memberships to residents and non-residents. Since its inception in 1976, Walden has enjoyed the reputation as one of the premier courses in the state of Texas. Although known for our world-class golf we also include a lively schedule of activities for all levels of play.
Our Club restaurant, "Walden Cafe on the Green", welcomes all with its friendly and professional staff. The Cafe hosts a wide range of popular events including martini nights, regularly scheduled wine dinners, monthly themed buffets, gourmet dinners, and even a weekly "wine & dine" menu with affordable food and drink combination specials.

Our new, state of the art golf school facility has two covered teaching bays and a climate controlled conferencing area. We provide our members with the finest teaching staff who offer private lessons, clinics, all day intensive schools, and a player development program, all designed to improve your game regardless of skill level.

This magnificent course was designed by Robert Von Hagge and former PGA Tour player Bruce Devlin in 1976. Total yardage on our 18-hole, par 72 course, is 6,756 yards. Since its inception, Walden on Lake Conroe has enjoyed a distinguished reputation in being consistently rated by the Dallas Morning News in the top ten private golf courses in the State of Texas.

Whether you are a beginner, casual player, or golfaholic, the WLGA has a perfect fit for you. The Walden Ladies Golf Association (WLGA) provides many opportunities to learn and improve your game, to meet and golf with other members, and to compete in a wide variety of competition play. Activities include weekly Wednesday and monthly Saturday morning playdays, five WLGA tournaments, interclub play, clinics, 18 and 9 hole groups, socials, and more.
