Services
Our Practice
Report
Glenpool Eye Care was created to serve the needs of South Tulsa in 1998 by Dr. John Gosnell, OD. We focus on providing outstanding primary eye care to all ages with comprehensive eye exams and the latest technology to manage diseases, fit specialty contacts, and even make your glasses in our office!
What We Do
Report
Our one-on-one approach to optometry makes Dr. Gosnell, Dr. Wolthuizen, and the Glenpool Eye Care staff the eye and vision care providers of choice in the Glenpool area. At Glenpool Eye Care, we start seeing patients at 6 months and older. We assess the visual system and health system of the eye and educate patients on our findings.
Insurance And Payment Options
Report
Our goal is to be as transparent as possible about our services and prices. We inform our patients about exam and treatment costs at the beginning of the appointment. To be best prepared, we ask our patients to review their benefits online before coming into the office. Any patient without insurance, or an insurance company that we are not in-network with, qualifies for a 20% discount on all services, fitting fees, and scans.
Prepare For Your Exam
Report
Prepare for your eye exam to take about an hour depending on the number of tests your eye doctor needs to evaluate your vision and eye health. A typical comprehensive exam is a series of visual tests to inform your eye doctor about your vision. Additional testing is done for contact lenses wearers-including proper fitting, visual acuity and assessment of risk factors.
Frame Lines
Report
Special prism is added to lenses to decrease eye strain and increase comfort when required. Prisms can correct eye misalignments and help treat post-concussion syndrome. Anti-reflective coating is available to decrease glare on electronics, nighttime lights, and increase cosmetic appearance while wearing glasses.
