Shower, shave, and exfoliate before your appointment (the day prior). The key to this step is to not use any oil based products as they are known for leaving a film on the skin's surface. After your tan wear loose fitting clothing for at least 4 hours to prevent discoloration and rubbing. If you are attending an event, all pedicures, nails and waxing should be done before tanning.
