WBA serves 5,000 boys and girls each year through programs and activities that fulfill our mission.
History

World Baseball Academy has a unique history that has helped position this organization for some great things to come! The founder, Caleb Kimmel, is a homegrown native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 2000, while still in college, Kimmel worked alongside his father in forming Between The Lines, LLC that served as the event planner for the annual Hoosier Classic Summer Baseball Tournaments.

More than 5,000+ boys and girls, age 4 to 19, annually experience the WBA as a safe place for learning baseball and developing as a player and as a person. They participate in tournaments, small group or individual instruction, camps and clinics guided by professional instructors.
For high school and college-age players, WBA leadership development opportunities include internships and international travel, developing the next generation of coaches, mentors and parents.WBA supporters make scholarships available to at-risk youth whose families might never be able to afford lessons or leadership development programs.

Rules

The Hoosier Classic Tournaments are structured as 3, 4, or 5 game minimum events depending on age or sanctioning partners. Head coaches should be present one hour prior to the first game of the tournament for rules briefing. Games completed early may result in an early start for the following games, weather permitting.
