Any Frederick County resident who has a disability that makes learning difficult, including Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum disorders, learning disabled, hearing and visual deficiencies and many others are welcome to join the TRP family. An individualized lesson plan is developed for each student.
Goals are developed from OT/PT Assessments, Teacher Assessments and parents. We provide the safest possible environment in which to challenge the rider to perform to the best of his/her ability. Riders learn to interact with their horse while also learning balance, steering, and control. They play games and engage in therapeutic exercises.
