Victory Ranch provides a nurturing environment to inspire hope and creativity leading to a future of empowerment for children, youth and their families through the gift of horses and natural beauty. We envoision partnering with local schools, community organizations and corporations who value the life and future of Ottumwa's children and youth.

The purpose of the Hearts & Horses Program is to bring joy and healing to children, youth and families. Horses can help children heal and find hope. They mirror their feelings because they are always in the moment and in tune to their body language, making them good teachers and friends.

We reach out to children and youth ages 7 - 18 (ranchers) who are experiencing grief or loss from situations such as: Divorce, death, chronic illness, deployment, or abandonment.The rancher will learn to develop a relationship with the horse on the ground through basic horsemanship skills. Later, ranchers are given an opportunity to ride a horse of their choice!

Horses have the unique ability to teach us about our effectiveness as leaders! At Victory Ranch, we combine the gift of natural beauty with the opportunity to learn new skills that can transform the workplace and create a more promising work/life balance. Constantly on watch to identify glitches in their surroundings that can cause confusion and complications.
