Originally founded in 1852 along the Great River Road and just a stone's throw from the Mississippi River, the Potosi Brewing Company brewed more than a century's worth of delicious craft beer before finally bowing to shifting market pressures and emptying its bright tanks for good in 1972. Re-founded on its original site in 2008, the Potosi Brewing Company has brought craft brewing back to Main Street Potosi, Wisconsin.
Today our fine people lovingly craft only the highest quality beer - in small batches and without compromise - forging a renewed tradition of excellence that's all our own.

About Us
Report
Potosi is where beer is an art form and our craft is celebrated at the National Brewery Museum. The beer was brewed in this town, by its fine people, in a small batch with the finest ingredients. Founded in 1852, the Potosi Brewing Company became the fifth largest brewery in Wisconsin and distributed coast to coast.
Shot Tower Espresso Stout
Report
We've teamed up with the coffee roasting masters and all around fine folks at Verena Street Coffee Co. With a cold pressed proprietary blend of Verena Street's rich ground coffee beans, our brewmaster has crafted a wholly original coffee stout that is both rich in coffee tones and eminently drinkable.
Northern Method
Report
Centuries ago, Einbeck Brewers of Germany brought their superior northern brewing methods south to Munich, where their craftsmanship, combined with Munich malts influenced the doppelbock. This is our homage to them. Our very own Northern Method. A distinctive doppelbock, rich in malt and toasted caramel with hints of dark fruit-raisin.
Border War Imperial Coffee Stout
Report
You love bourbon. You love coffee. You love beer. This Border War battle has tones of toffee, vanilla, caramel and a velvety smooth texture that wraps up in a slightly warm finish. This legendary local dispute unites a bold imperial stout aged in oak bourbon barrels from Blaum Bros., of Galena, IL with a Sumatra coffee which Verena Street Coffee, of Dubuque, IA aged in Blaum Bros. bourbon barrels before roasting.
Icebreaker
Report
To create this complex and full-bodied porter, we aged it in Cody Road Bourbon barrels from our friends at Mississippi Distilling Company. Their smaller barrels make for a greater surface area-to-beer ratio, and the results accentuate the inviting malt aroma and hints of dark caramel with prominent warming notes of bourbon and charred oak.
