Thermostats
Report
Thermostats regulate a system's temperature to the desired setpoint. In an HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) system, thermostats work by powering on the furnace (heater), air conditioner, and blower fan and regulating the temperature whether through heating or air conditioning.
While older thermostats were limited in the number of features and settings available, modern thermostats provide a wide variety of capabilities including programmable settings as well as control from your smartphone, tablet, or computer. With a programmable thermostat, you can adjust the heat and air conditioning to run at different times of day and different days of the week.
