DogStar was founded in 2009 with the goal of providing loving personal pet care to pets of the Charleston and Mount Pleasant area, with an emphasis on exercise and pet wellness. We offer a variety of services to accommodate your pet's needs and continuously strive to make life easier for our clients.
Each pet in our care gets individualized attention and we will never walk or run your dog with a dog from another household. More importantly, we care for your pets like we do our own-we miss them when we don't get to see them and love getting to know all of their unique personalities along the way.

DogStar was founded in 2009 by two brothers Brett and Nick Eppehimer and their program director is the retired former sprinter Rudy the whippet. They set out with the goal of providing loving personal pet care to pets of Charleston & Mt. Pleasant with an emphasis on exercise and pet wellness. Brett Eppehimer graduated from Lehigh University before embarking on an 8 year professional basketball career in Europe.
Dog Running

As veterinarians recommend, we start your dog slowly and build up his or her endurance over time. Every session begins with a warm up walk, progresses to a jog or run, and finishes with a cool down on the way home. The health and safety of your dog is our primary concern on every run and we will always keep an eye out for any signs of discomfort or fatigue.
Pet Sitting

In-home vacation dog sitting is an excellent kennel alternative for those dogs who prefer to stay comfortable in their own home while their parents are out of town. Your dog can sleep in his or her own bed at night and enjoy the familiar sights and sounds of their own neighborhood during the day with daily dog walks.

Nick and his staff are the greatest. They go above and beyond to make sure our dogs are well taken care of and we are well informed whenever we are out of town. They text, email, call, etc. Their responsiveness puts us at ease when we are out of town. Wouldn't trust our dogs with anyone else. Dogstar is great and has been a lifesaver for us while we're at work during the day!

If you love both dogs and running, and want to get paid for it, you've found the right place! We take great pride in our company and will hire only the best applicants. Be available M-F at the same time slot each day for a 4 month minimum (weekend & night walkers excluded).
