HKR is a preschool for 3 and 4 year old children located in Stratford's historic district. Founded in 1931, HKR continues its longstanding tradition of excellence in early childhood education. Our preschool program emphasizes fine and gross motor skills, socialization and self-discovery. The curriculum eases children into the wonderful world of learning through play and other activities. At Helen King Reynolds Private School, we try to keep the admissions process as simple as possible. We also offer several opportunities to get to know the school before you apply.

Placement in morning or afternoon classes is on a first come/first serve basis and registration has no bearing on boy/girl mix. Our staff qualifications include educational degrees ranging from masters, bachelors, and Associate degrees in education, early childhood education, early childhood special education, early childhood education certification, and CDA.
Current Parents

Weather Related: HKR follows the Stratford Public School schedule during inclement weather. If Stratford has an early closing, we hold morning classes as usual but the afternoon class is cancelled. Outdoor Playtime: We will be playing outside in the play yard every day unless it is raining or the wind chill is below 20 degrees.
