Recently, the SCE crew was fortunate to have the wonderful and talented Becky Brown of Becky Brown's School of Horsemanship at the farm for a Ride-A-Test clinic. We learned a lot and had a great time doing it. Southern Cross Equestrian was founded by two sisters who share the same love of horses. Several years ago, we came to the conclusion that neither one of us was getting any younger. So we set out to achieve a life-long, childhood dream - and get back to doing something we loved. We opened Southern Cross Equestrian to surround ourselves with people who love horses, competing and learning from each other.

We are very fortunate to have wonderful and talented trainers working out of our barn, just as we're fortunate to have wonderful horses and clients. Good riding and great horsemanship is a journey. One that takes consistent work and time to achieve genuine riding skills.
For this reason, and because we're committed to supporting our wonderful trainers so they can continue to contribute to our program, we do require people to be a part of some form of lesson program.Your growth goals and schedule will determine which trainer is right for you. All of our trainers work together and communicate with one another so that everyone has the tools they need to be successful.

Our Facility

For our boarders, there is plenty of tack up space available, as well as an over-sized tack room. For our partners, there are currently stocks and work stations for vet and farrier use. We have two wash racks with hot and cold water. We have a close circuit security system along the outside of the barn, making it impossible for anyone to enter the property without being captured on video.

We're looking to add to our team. We pride ourselves on quality care, so attention to detail and a strong work ethic are requirements of the job. Whether you are interested in part-time or full-time opportunities, the ideal candidates will be able to work independently and care for the horses and the facility while the owners are out of town.
