Pottery Alley opened its doors in 2007 and quickly became Lafayette's premiere retreat for clay artists from beginners to advanced potters. Students flock to Pottery Alley to take part in its fun and informational classes and workshops. Pottery Alley offers seven electric wheels, several hand-building tables, a wall extruder, slab roller, and glazes that we proudly mix in our studio.

Pottery Alley has a great staff with over 30 years combined pottery teaching experience. Each of our teachers has a unique style and teaching method.

Monthly Classes

One day workshops, classes and parties and even week-long camps will only teach you some of the basics. If you really want to learn the ins and outs of pottery every step of the way from wet ball of clay to glazed and fired art there really is no alternative to our monthly classes. None of our other regular offerings allow you the time to master any of the techniques involved.

Day Camps for Kids

The kids may be out of school, but there's lots to do at Pottery Alley! Join us in the air conditioning as we create artwork from scratch and get your child's creative juices flowing. Our summer camps focus on having fun and learning how to make pottery using simple techniques. Children will learn to construct things from coils and slabs, and by sculpting with simple tools and hands.
