Services
Electrolysis
Electrolysis is the only FDA-recognized permanent hair removal method. At ProLuma, we specialize in the Blend modality, combining galvanic current and heat for optimal results. This approach effectively targets coarse, terminal hair across all skin and hair types. Treatments are customized based on body area, hair density, and client goals, ensuring safe and lasting outcomes.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal uses targeted light energy to destroy hair follicles. ProLuma employs the Lumenis Light Sheer DESIRE system, ideal for clients with lighter skin and darker hair. This technology ensures comfort and precision, requiring 810 sessions for maximum efficacy while addressing most skin types safely.
Blend Method
The Blend method merges galvanic current and heat for enhanced hair removal. This technique excels in treating complex cases, offering superior results for coarse or resistant hair. By integrating both modalities, ProLuma delivers faster, more thorough outcomes compared to single-method approaches, tailored to individual client needs.
Personalized Consultations
Every client begins with a consultation to determine the best treatment plan. Our experts evaluate skin and hair type, medical history, and goals to create a customized approach. This step ensures safety, sets realistic expectations, and outlines the recommended number of sessions for optimal results.
Combination Therapy
Combination therapy leverages both laser and electrolysis for comprehensive solutions. Clients benefit from the speed of laser for large areas and the precision of electrolysis for fine or resistant hair. This approach maximizes efficacy, addressing diverse needs in a single practice for unmatched convenience and results.

Questions
What is the difference between electrolysis and laser hair removal?
Electrolysis uses electrical currents to destroy hair follicles and works on all hair and skin types. Laser targets melanin, best for lighter skin with dark hair.
How does the Blend method work?
The Blend method combines galvanic current and heat for enhanced follicle destruction, offering faster results for coarse or resistant hair compared to single-modality treatments.
Is laser hair removal safe for all skin types?
Laser works best for lighter skin with dark hair. For darker skin tones, electrolysis is recommended as it safely treats all skin and hair colors.
What happens during a consultation?
A consultation evaluates your skin and hair type, medical history, and goals to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
How many sessions are needed for permanent results?
Electrolysis requires 12–24 months of sessions, while laser typically needs 8–10 sessions. Results vary based on hair density and treatment area.
Can I combine laser and electrolysis treatments?
Yes, combining both methods allows comprehensive care, using laser for large areas and electrolysis for precision, ensuring optimal results for all hair types.

Patiently and thoroughly explained the several options, and the reasons to use each option on various parts of the body. Made the work on a VERY sensitive area as tolerable as it could be - about 90% less painful than the last time I had something similar done - and gave me good tips for making it more bearable (including a very enjoyable one: carb-load beforehand!). Fairly priced. And best of all - a very nice person.

Outstanding electrolysis at reasonable price. Stephanie is the only electrolysist i could find who uses blended current- ie galvanic and thermolytic- to ensure the most permanent hair removal with the least pain/skin irritation. I developed coarse chin hair after menopause. Laser is not good for that and won't work at all on tough white hairs. I was searching for an electrolysist who used blended current and luckily found Stephanie.
