Fresno Wildlife Rehabilitation
Fresno Wildlife Rehabilitation Service (FWRS) is an all-volunteer, non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to caring for orphaned and/or injured native wildlife in our Central Valley. The organization has two main goals: to treat, rehabilitate and return all animals to their natural habitat whenever possible and to educate the general public in becoming more aware, concerned, and understanding of our wildlife resources.

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to caring for orphaned and/or injured native wildlife in our Central Valley. We care for injured wild animals and rely on public support year-round, we couldn't do it without volunteers. Anyone can volunteer, however, you must be a member to volunteer.

5 Friday
Report
We appreciate all of our wonderful supporters, donors, volunteers, and fosters! Our caregivers are suburban, urban and rural dwellers, who successfully care for wildlife in their homes. We recognize that every little bit accumulates for our rescue and rehabilitation efforts! Our $5 Friday is one of our "little things" that can make giving easier!
Nature Center
Report
Fresno Wildlife Rehabilitation Service is dedicated to providing wildlife education to the public through the rehabilitation and returning of native wildlife to their natural habitats. We plan to build The Nature Center, located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, that will offer dynamic and evolving teaching programs geared to touch primarily children, but also adults with a unique wildlife educational experience.

As much as we try, we can't give an orphaned animal as much time and care as their mother can. So whenever possible we would love to reunite the animal with their family. Even if you don't see the animal on the list, Fresno Wildlife takes care of most native species. REMEMBER: It is ILLEGAL to keep any native bird or animal for more than 24 hours without proper federal and state permits.
Ambassadors
Report
Each year, our wildlife ambassadors visit and educate over 10,000 people at schools, libraries, clubs and senior's centers, sharing the wonder of native wildlife with audiences all over the Central Valley. They deserve our respect, care and support. Animal ambassadors cannot be returned to the wild, either because of permanent injuries, disabilities or because they are non-native species granted to our care by state or federal agencies.
