Mike's love for the science and art of creating good beer was apparent from the beginning. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he was surrounded by craft beer and the king of the IPA.hops. The idea of starting his own brewery had been discussed but felt impossible in the Portland, OR area due to the huge wave of craft breweries opening.
After much consideration and the promise of a new job opportunity for his wife Amy, they moved east to Minnesota where craft beer was just starting to take off. They landed in Waseca and bought a property with enough room to have a brewery and tap room along with land for growing hops. With a lot of support, encouragement and a great deal of patience, Half Pint Brewing Company is up and running!

NITRO - PA'S PORTER abv: 6.5 This dark and roasty beer was created using our farm grown Cascade Hops. Definitely a favorite. We took our popular Hannah's Honey Cream Ale, and added a Fall twist.
