At Young Pediatrics we offer a personal approach to your child's healthcare. We would love to be a partner with you in keeping your child healthy and happy as you raise them from birth through adolescence. Our office is staffed by 3 board-certified pediatricians and a board-certified nurse practitioner.

Our providers are diligent in pursuing their continuing education and provide excellent evidence-based medical care for your children. They are also all mothers and are thankful to do what they love in caring for not only their children, but yours as well. Our mission is to provide family-centered, high quality evidenced-based medical care to children from birth through adolescence in a comprehensive medical home.

Dr. Elizabeth Satterly
Report
Dr. Satterly attended undergraduate at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and medical school at University of Louisville in Kentucky. She completed her residency at Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Satterly is married with three children. She enjoys spending time outdoors when she is not working.
Alison Cosa MSN, RN, FNP-C

Alison Cosa, MSN, RN, FNP-C, has been providing care for patients at Young Pediatrics since 2012. She received her baccalaureate degree at Saint Louis University, and her master's degree in nursing at Grand Canyon University. Alison began her nursing career at Phoenix Children's Hospital, where she gained experience in both patient care and leadership roles.

Dr. Young was born and raised in the metro-east and graduated from Granite City High School. She graduated magna cum laude from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. Dr. Stephanie Lorts grew up in Bethalto, Illinois. She attended University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology, graduating with Highest Distinction in 2011.

Beginning with your child's first moments of life on through their teenage years, well child exams serve as the cornerstone for overall health and well-being. Our Providers use the Bright Futures Guidelines to help promote all aspects of your child's health, including motor and language skills, behavioral, developmental, emotional, and physical wellness.
Asthma
Report
Asthma is a disease that affects your lungs. It causes repeated episodes of wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and coughing. Asthma can be controlled by taking medicine, knowing and avoiding the triggers that can cause an attack, and.regular visits with your provider. New diagnosis of Asthma may require your child to be seen more often for the provider to establish the right plan or care and treatment.
