Getting a grasp of basic water safety and skills early on is very important. Introducing these much needed skills when kids are young helps them feel comfortable in the water when they're older. Kids 3 and up who already have experience in the water can take group lessons, which teach water safety, stroke technique, and basic survival skills.

Miller Swim School was established in 1960 by Larry and Rita Miller in order to teach students to respect and enjoy the water, and to be safe, happy, successful swimmers. The Millers, both retired former Tulsa Public Schools teachers and coaches, have been teaching Tulsans of all ages to swim for most of their 68 years of married life.

Miller Swim School has been an important part of our families' life for two generations. We started with Larry and Rita Miller as instructors back in about 1972 when our son, Brad, was 3 years old. When our daughter, Angie, was in diapers, she started swim lessons. Now Brad and Angie are both married and have two children each (our four grandchildren, Nathan and Corina; and Max and Joey).

Our facility also features two large observation rooms where you can view your students entire class. All of our facility is air conditioned with free WiFi for all patrons. The small pool averages 4ft in depth, while our larger pool ranges from 3ft to 9ft in the deep end. Both pools maintain a 90+degree water temperature, ideal for all of our little bodies and easy motor movement.

Our heated inside pools are a wonderful way to celebrate birthday parties without worrying about the unpredictable Tulsa weather. Swim with the kids or sit back and relax in our viewing area as the kids have fun.
