Bear Republic Brewing Company was founded in 1995. Our original brewery, located just off downtown square in Healdsburg, California, is where we created and sometimes stumbled upon some of our favorite beer recipes. Ricardo's Red Rocket Ale, Racer 5 IPA, and many others began in that very brewhouse.
After 11 years of rapid growth, we opened our Factory 5 brewery in Cloverdale, California, where we brew and package all our beer that goes to market. We hand select our ingredients for each batch, the grains and hops we use are chosen for their unique characteristics and the recipes and formulations are patiently developed over time.

We believe in reducing our impact on the planet. While we love to make a mark with our beers, we want to minimize our mark on the environment. Here are some areas we've engaged with to help ensure our future. We've installed the world's first 100 percent USA manufactured component solar farm. This consists of 135 kW at our Factory 5 Brewery and another 38 kW at our Lakeside Brewpub.
