When developer Steve Coon acquired the property from the Stark Community Foundation, he was gratified to discover the lavish features the hotel had been known for were still in place and ready for restoration. Even though the hotel was vacant for 35 years, the rooms still had many features intact including porcelain fixtures and ornate woodwork.
