We have adjusted our procedures and will amend them as necessary, based upon safety recommendations. Please note that our lobby is still closed, and we are employing a "virtual" waiting room. When you arrive at our hospital, please remain in your car and call us at 240-403-8387 to let us know you're here.
At that time, we'll ask for the number of your designated WGVC parking spot. A WGVC team member will greet you and your pet at your car and escort you into the hospital. If you do not wish to come into the hospital for safety reasons, we will still offer Zoom and telephone virtual visits. Once your appointment is complete, a team member will help you with payment in the exam room, dispense any prescribed medications, and escort you to your car.

For appointment requests, we will contact you to confirm a date and time that is as close to your request as possible. Please note: When making online requests please allow 24 hours for your request to be processed. If your appointment has not been confirmed within 24 hours, please feel free to contact the practice by phone to confirm.
AAHA Accreditation
Report
Did you know that accreditation for an animal hospital is voluntary? Surprising, isn't it? Nearly 60 percent of pet owners believe that their pet's veterinary hospital is accredited when it is not. In actuality, only 12-15% of animal hospitals have gone through the accreditation evaluation process by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
Wellness Exams
Report
We stress the importance of preventative care and annual visits to limit onset of illness, and for early detection and action for issues that may be found. During wellness exams, we may also recommend vaccination for prevention of infectious diseases, discuss the prevention of internal and external parasites, and conduct a proper nutrition and weight consultation.
All Life Stage Counseling
Report
Different questions may arise if you have an 8-week, 8 year- or 18-year-old pet. A first-time owner may feel overwhelmed with the new responsibilities associated with caring for a new pet.
