Together, Glenn Woods and Keith Herbrand create handmade one-of-a-kind functional and decorative pottery. Each piece is carefully handmade out of a fine porcelain and finished with a beautiful crystalline glaze. Glenn's work, tends to be a blend of functional and decorative which is generally finished with a matte crystalline glaze.
Glenn's work beautifully. These decorative and functional pieces often include influences from nature in the way of gourd-like forms, sprigs that resemble leaves, shells, and driftwood or wooden stems - all made from porcelain. They are in the Midwest during the spring and summer months and return to their home in Florida for the fall and winter months.

Working with a blend of porcelain and white stoneware, Glenn generally begins the creative process by making the forms on the potters' wheel and then alters and combines pieces. Glenn alters his forms by paddling, piercing, beading, and carving - the finished pieces generally have hints of nature: leaves, gourds, and flowers.

Because our primary selling venue is outside art fairs throughout Florida and the Midwest, we do not have a retail presence in Florida. Our studio is located in our garage which provides the perfect space for our pottery studio while in Florida. Our Chicagoland area studio is located in Blue Island, a historically rich town just south of Chicago.

In December of 2020, Glenn took a virtual workshop taught by master potter, Jose' Mariscal who is internationally known for his work in Crystalline Glazed Pottery. Jose' is a master at formulating and firing beautiful crystalline glazes but his throwing abilities and skill is second to none.
I have been throwing since 1974 and have worked over the years to fine tune the throwing style I learned way back then at Northridge High School in Middlebury, Indiana and continued my work in clay at Indiana Central University (now known as The University of Indianapolis).
