Jeanmarie graduated cum laude from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. She started her career at a local York area hospital as an inpatient Occupational Therapist servicing trauma, stroke and orthopedic patients.
When she became supervisor of the inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy departments, she was asked by local plastic and orthopedic surgeons to participate in observing hand/upper extremity surgeries.She learned a wealth of knowledge about the anatomy and rehabilitation of the hand from this experience.
