Services
Wood Double-Hung Repair
We restore traditional wood double-hung windows by repairing sash cords, reinforcing joints, replacing hardware, and installing weather-stripping. Our technicians address paint buildup, misalignment, and structural damage while maintaining original design elements. This service preserves historical integrity while improving energy efficiency and operational smoothness for 1920s-1940s era homes.
Wood Casement Repair
Our team refits wood casement windows by repairing hinges, sealing joints with epoxy, and installing water diversion materials. We restore proper function to out-swing windows while maintaining original architectural details. This includes weep hole maintenance and weather-stripping installation to prevent air infiltration in historic residential and commercial buildings.
Steel Casement Repair
Specialized repair of steel casement windows through frame sanding, hinge lubrication, and weather stripping upgrades. We address metal-to-metal tightness issues and damaged bottom rails while maintaining original steel window functionality. Our techniques reduce noise and drafts in mid-century commercial and industrial buildings.
Modern Window Repair
We repair modern windows (1965-present) by identifying manufacturer parts and replacing balances, rollers, and weather-stripping. Our technicians address failed warranties and mechanical issues in vinyl, aluminum, and composite windows. This service extends window lifespan while maintaining energy efficiency in post-1965 constructions.
Return to Traditional Windows
We remove replacement windows and restore original traditional windows through architectural archaeology. Our team replicates historic sashes and jambs to match original designs, preserving building aesthetics. This service includes jalousie window removal and 1970s aluminum slider replacements in heritage properties.

We handle wood double-hung, wood casement, steel casement, aluminum, vinyl, and most specialty windows from 1920s-1970s eras, including jalousie and slider conversions.
Do you work on commercial properties?

It's probably been 5 years since I had the windows of my 1913 Craftsman bungalow restored by this company. It was not inexpensive, but the work was done quickly and with excellent quality. We open our windows in the evenings to cool our house and every time I touch a window, I think of how well spent the money was on this project. The only downside, for the company, is that I expect this work will last another 100 years before it would need to be redone.

Scott is the BEST! The only better people at this specialized window restoration company/business are Brian, Ismael, Norm and of course, Bridgett. I am so pleased with my new windows. My home is a 1938 traditional in the heart of Los Cerritos/Bixby Knolls. The former owner had all of the locks removed to install a security system??? We never used the security system so we had it removed. I didn't realize finding someone to replace the old cranks and locks on steel casement windows would be difficult (almost impossible without Window Restoration and Repair). After nearly 20 years of searching we

Thank you Caesar and crew. I had a crew out to my 1922 California bungalow to repair the double hung windows today. All windows done in one day. Very professional, courteous crew. They explained exactly what was going to happen and left me with instructions for painting and further window care. They left the place cleaner than it was when they… arrived! I am so happy that I decided to have Window Restoration & Repair restore the windows rather than having them replaced. Caesar - you are right I could not hear the rain with the new weather stripping!
